Your choices
You can read the publication without allowing optional statistics or marketing. Use the controls below to change your choice. Turning a category off stops its scripts on subsequent page loads; the consent tool may reload the page to apply your change. You can also delete previously stored cookies in your browser.
Necessary consent storage
Complianz stores your category choices and the version of the policy in first-party cookies. These include cmplz_functional, cmplz_preferences, cmplz_statistics, cmplz_marketing, cmplz_consented_services, cmplz_policy_id, and cmplz_banner-status. The configured lifetime is 365 days. These cookies remember your decision rather than measure readership.
Statistics: Google Analytics
Google Analytics loads after statistics consent. It measures page views, interactions, referrals, and device information. Its cookies include _ga and _ga_* and contain identifiers used to distinguish visits or sessions. Google documents a default lifetime of two years, although browsers may impose shorter limits. Cookie lifetime is separate from retention of data on Google’s servers.

Marketing: existing Google Ads measurement
The website also contains a Google Ads measurement tag. It is separate from Analytics and is released only after marketing consent. It can send page and conversion information, device details, and identifiers to Google and can use advertising cookies, including _gcl_au (typically 90 days) and a short-lived DoubleClick test cookie. Google may process this information in the United States and other countries.
Allowing statistics alone does not allow this marketing tag. See Google’s advertising information.
Local article-view counts
Post Views Counter maintains article-view totals in WordPress, separately from Google Analytics. Cookie-based counting has been disabled, so the site no longer sets its former pvc_visits cookie. Existing totals remain available. The counting hook additionally requires statistics consent.
External media and website administration
Historical articles may contain external media, including YouTube or social-media embeds. Such content can connect to its provider and use additional cookies when enabled. Review the provider information shown with the content before loading it. A simple external link does not itself load an embedded feed.
WordPress can also use authentication and preference cookies for people who log into the administration area. Reading articles does not require a reader account. This website does not currently operate a Kit newsletter or a booking calendar.
Legal basis and contact
Strictly necessary storage is based on § 25(2) TDDDG. Optional analytics and marketing storage requires consent under § 25(1) TDDDG; associated personal-data processing relies on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent can be withdrawn without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
